RS3617xs+ là thiết bị lưu trữ dữ liệu 2U được trang bị bộ vi xử lý Intel D-1531 Xeon 6 nhân 2.2GHz. Để tránh bị nhầm lẫn , Synology cũng đã cho ra mắt model RS3617RPxs được trang bị bộ xử lý intel D-1521 Xeon 4 nhân 2.4GHz

NAS Synology RS3617xs + đi kèm bộ nhớ nhanh DDR4 8GB, có thể nâng cấp lên 64GB.

Một điểm nữa là, RS3617xs + có cổng Gigabit Quad và 10GbE. Đây là model đầu tiên của Synology đi kèm với các cổng nhôm 10GBase-T nếu không đủ, người dùng cũng có thể mở rộng thêm với hai khe mở rộng PCI-Express.
